Not long ago there weren’t many swimmers on Split’s beaches but all that has changed several years ago when the project of waste water relocation was finished taking Split’s waste water from the shore deep into the channel. From then on beaches in Split have been reborn, the sea has been cleaned and swimming and playing on Split’s beaches has once again became the most popular summer activity. Not only that, but several beaches that were the symbol of filthy water and unbearable smell are now proudly wearing the blue flag, the international symbol of clean sea and developed infrastructure.
